Using Amy-Jill Levine’s book, “Short Stories by Jesus”, this new sermon series will look at our typical understandings of Jesus’ parables and refocus and re-define what we think we know. Dr. Levine’s insights help to see how Jesus’ first century audience might have heard these stories much differently than the 21st century seeker and believer. These parables have the ability to continue to challenge, convict and comfort us all. Join us this summer for, “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus: Parables that Challenge, Convict and Comfort”.
