Bio: I was born in Wichita in October 1986, and grew up in Rose Hill, Kansas.  I spent my whole life as a Rose Hill Rocket from kindergarten until graduation in 2005.  Throughout my childhood, I stayed very busy with different sports and music, and both have stuck with me through my life.

After high school, I attended Butler Community College in El Dorado, KS on a vocal music scholarship.  I was part of an incredible family there, The Headliners, a nationally-renown show choir.  So yes, technically I did sing and dance my way through college.  When my time at Butler was finished, I realized that I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I bounced around in a few different majors at Wichita State University.  Finally, in 2015, I graduated from Friends University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Business Management.

During the past several years, I’ve spent time as a Special Education Para, a Fitness Associate with the YMCA, a Lawn and Landscaping Technician, a High School Basketball Coach, and most recently, a High School Admissions Specialist at Wichita Area Technical College.  But while all of this was going on, I served part-time for 3 years as the Director of Youth Ministries at Rose Hill United Methodist Church (where I grew up), during which I experienced some of the most fulfilling and rewarding experiences of my life.  Seeing a young person experience God and the moves He makes in their lives is an absolutely awesome thing, and it’s truly a blessing to get to be a small part of that.

Family: While at Butler, I became the luckiest man alive and met the woman of my dreams.  In August 2009, I married my best friend, Mandy, and every day since has been better then the day before.  We currently have three dogs: Lucy (a border terrier we rescued from the Kansas Humane Society), Tebow (a wired-haired dachshund, also from the KHS), and Oscar (a Welsh Corgi), and they are, without a doubt, our little four-legged family.

Interests: I love playing sports (basketball, golf, softball, volleyball) and working out.  I’m a huge sports fan and love cheering on the Patriots, Royals, Shockers, and Jayhawks (and whichever team Tim Tebow is currently playing for).  Like I mentioned before, I also have a great passion for music, and sing with a barbershop quartet. Mandy and I also love to travel and spend time with friends and family.

A Favorite Bible Verse:

“I can do all things through Him, who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
