Between Mother’s Day (May 13) and Father’s Day (June 17), First Church is hoping to collect at least 10,000 diapers and baby wipes during the annual Diaper Drive! Help us care for families in our community in need. Diapers brought to First Church will be donated to Open Door, and the Sedgwick County United Way, which will make these diapers available to charitable agency in our area for distribution. Did you know? • It is illegal for parents to use Food Stamps (SNAP) or Welfare (TANF) to buy diapers. • It is illegal to wash cloth diapers in a public laundromat. • It costs approximately $80/month to keep a child in diapers! • The average baby under 6 months requires at least 70 diapers per week! • Child care requires parents provide 10 disposable diapers per day for each child. • First Church Wichita Diaper Bank is trying to collect at least 10,000 diapers and baby wipes in May and June. Last year we collected 11,836 diapers; 18,197 wipes; and received $1,070 in monetary donations! Can we pass that this year?

Donations can be brought to the AB or D entrances and monetary donations may be turned in to the Business Office.
