Attention First Church 2018-19 College Students Every year the Scholarship Committee of First United Methodist Church awards scholarships to church members who wish to pursue a post-secondary education.  This includes, but is not limited to, graduating high school seniors, those already attending college, and seminary students.   Did you know volunteering is good for your health?  Studies have shown that volunteering helps persons feel less stress, improves mood and sense of purpose! Be sure to mark your calendars now as you won’t want to miss SpringFling 2018 on Saturday, April 28! You may choose to work in the yard at Raise My Head residence or make teaching games for Washington Elementary. Our local missions project for the month of April is WIN (Women’s Initiative Network). We are excited to welcome the newest professing members of First Church!  The Confirmation class  lead worship at Downtown Alive on November 12.  Six youth took vows of membership and made professions of faith!
