Most of my formative years were in Wichita, Kansas. I am a North High graduate as well as a Friends University graduate where I received my B.A. in Theatre Arts with concentrations in English and Music. I received my M.Div. from St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. I received my call to ministry as a teenager trying to figure out how faith made a difference in my life and the life of others. That call took me to a very small town as a young, inexperienced and untrained pastor. The churches I served nurtured me and helped me become the pastor I am today. I have had the privilege of serving in a variety ways through the General Commission on Christian Unity and Interreligious Concerns, various ministerial alliances and most recently have finished my term on the Board of Directors of Inter-faith Ministries. I am passionate about the love Christ has for all and am honored to continue to serve God through my ministry with First.
My husband Andrew Stover and I have a blended family with 8 grown children and a baker’s dozen of grandchildren. We enjoy spending time with them every chance we get. We also enjoy life downtown in our historic home in the Fairview/Park Place district. We have a variety interests including bicycling, traveling, reading, gourmet food, entertaining and the arts in Wichita.
