The adult Sunday school classes of First Church are one of the major strengths of this church! All classes provide opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship. Classes meet at 9:30 a.m. Sunday mornings unless otherwise listed.

DOUBLE RING – 106B (ZOOM HYBRID)
The Double Ring symbolizes the eternal love of God and members’ love for each other. Class is taught by Jack Focht through lecture and discussions. Socials, women’s meetings, volunteer projects, and a history of concern for each other, best describes this class of mature, partially retired and retired members. Known for willingness to be involved where needed in the church and community.
50/50-HAND IN HAND – 107B (ZOOM HYBRID)
This welcoming class represents Christ and community. We are an active group that believes in volunteering in church, community, and world-wide missions. A variety of teachers lead our lessons. We are rich in spiritual growth, lasting friendships, and church involvement. Socials are an important part of our fellowship. We are Hand in Hand with one another; Hand in Hand with God. All are invited to attend.
INSPIRE – 204A
This discussion style class searches the scriptures, explores issues central to the United Methodist Church, and enjoys times of Christian fellowship. This group is geared toward 20’s & 30’s .
PEOPLE’S OPEN DOOR -101B (ZOOM HYBRID)
A diverse group of adults studying the Bible, in conjunction with current materials, to help us grow in our Christian faith. Members strive for spiritual growth as they seek God’s leadership for their lives. We participate in many of the church’s programs and outreach ministries, and enjoy social activities.
PNEUMA -205B/PARLOR (ZOOM HYBRID)
Our name comes from the word “wind,” “breath,” or “Holy Spirit.” As we move through our middle years, we look to that spirit to guide and enrich us. We meet to nourish and express the spirit’s influence upon our lives, through Christian living, loving service, and fellowship. Discussions, dedicated teachers, prayer circles, social events, and mission projects, enhance and challenge us to grow in faith together.
SEEKERS -306B (ZOOM HYBRID)
The Seekers are a friendly community seeking the path to Christ-centered living. Along the way, enduring,supportive friendships are formed and treasured. Members are led through in-depth study of scripture, and contemporary, Bible-based lessons and discussion. All adults are welcome to join us for spiritual growth, support of each other through prayer and presence, celebration through social activities, and acts of compassion for God’s world through mission projects.
SMALL TALK – 101B (MEETS AT 12:15 PM)
This group offers compassion and connection with our unhoused neighbors
Each Sunday following worship we send pairs of volunteers out with a three- fold mission. 1.Pick up trash around our property, allowing easy interaction with our neighbors. 2. Offer a pair of socks to anyone who would like them. 3. Engage in conversation with our neighbors, offering empathy and prayer where appropriate. All are welcome to join this weekly ministry outreach!
